The competition was high at this years Design in Mental Health Awards.

Gilling Dod with Villicare (Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust & Ryhurst) were delighted that Ancora House was recognised in two categories:

  • Project of the Year
  • Service User Engagement

The speakers on the night were award winning Mental Health campaigners Jonny Benjamin and Neil Laybourn.  They shared an emotionally charged personal account of their mental health journey, which brought the two strangers together in very grave circumstances, and now leads them to raise awareness and make a difference within Mental Health.  Their account received a standing ovation and we were proud to receive the awards from Jonny and Neil

A synopsis their story can be found here

The Design in Mental Health Awards 2017 were held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull
