By Admin in Architecture 0 comments

The new state-of-the-art health centre for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust has now opened for residents, commuters and visitors to the city.

Known as The BEAT, the centre will enable the trust to provide a wider range of services in one centralised location designed specially to deliver modern healthcare services to the city region’s residents. A number of the Trust’s city health services have relocated to the centre including Merseyside’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre, SAFE Place, which provides a vital service to victims of sexual assault. Other services include Abacus Sexual Health Service, which will provide patients with a new online self-booking system for appointments; Liverpool’s City Walk-In Centre; and The Armistead Centre, a specialist lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health service.

The BEAT also includes a brand new, interactive health information centre, providing members of the public with drop-in access to free, professional information and advice on a wide range of healthy living issues, such as stopping smoking, health eating and getting active.

Gilling Dod provided Architectural and Interior Design services on this project.
