"The Curve” commissioned by Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust“ hosted its official opening this week and is welcoming its first visitors.
The innovative £5m educational hub, situated in Prestwich, provides educational courses, independent living support and community aftercare to help suffers & their families recovering from mental health or substance misuse problems across Greater Manchester
The new building also houses the Trust Head Quarters and conference facilities, as well as being a focal point for training and staff development.
On display throughout the building are contemporary art pieces, created by the award winning artist Gerry Halpin MBE in conjunction with service users from across the site.
"The success of the Recovery Academy in two short years has been phenomenal and we wanted to show the world what 21st Century Mental Health services could look like," Gill Green, director of Nursing and Operations, said.
