North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) plan to complete a modern, state of the art hospital facility, fit for the 21st century, on the site of the existing West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, Cumbria.
After completing Phase 1, Gilling Dod Architects are delighted to be working on Phase 2 which includes a new build extension. There will also be a main entrance to the previous Phase 1 acute facility, that opened in 2015. Refurbishment of various key blocks that are to be retained will also be undertaken and well as provision for external car parking, road realignment and external landscaping.
