Gilling Dod Architects are proud to be involved with the new £2.4m extension to the Neonatal Unit at Countess of Chester Hospital, which was originally built in 1974.
The new unit will be twice the size of the original facility and has been designed for integrated family care with space, privacy and comfort. The state of the art building will provide life saving technology for the newest arrivals, with serious needs, requiring extremely high levels of care in the ICU & HDU.
Work on the new unit is due to start next month, alongside the the existing facility, which will remain open and fully functional throughout.
A grand opening is planned for September 2019. Read the full story here
