Burnley’s new Integrated Urgent Care Centre was a direct replacement for the Trusts outdated Urgent Care Centre and Children’s Minor Illness Units, which were located in separate areas of the site.
We worked with the Trust on their Development Control Plan, designating a more suitable location to accommodate and collocate these important services.
The new facility also incorporates the ‘Rainbows Unit’ on the first floor, which was brought into the hospital from a community based service to ensure that the best facilities were available to the disabled children being treated at the unit.
The new unit provides an excellent level of service and care to patients in the Burnley area requiring Urgent Care and GP Out of Hours Services in spacious consulting / treatment rooms with high quality finishes and state of the art equipment.
The Paediatric Unit was designed to ensure that the environment was welcoming and calming for the children who attend, with excellent observation levels and individual rooms for daytime patient assessment.
