Andrew Arnold presents at UCLAN
Andrew Arnold was a guest presenter at the Design in Mental Health Network Seminar held at University of Central Lancashire on 26th May. Andrew presented on the recently completed Low Secure Unit at Guild Lodge commissioned by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. The £8Million development delivers state of the art facilities for the Trust's Low Secure Service and is designed to meet the latest National Guidance notes for Low Secure Units.

Guild Lodge submitted for BBH Award
The new £8Million Low Secure Unit at Guild Lodge, Preston has been submitted for the BBH Award 2010 (building better healthcare) for the best Mental Health Design.
The new building is a complementary extension of Guild Lodge rather than a separate service. It enables the provision of an integrated service, ensuring good links within the current services provided at Guild Lodge in addition to community based facilities.

Nick Clegg takes a walk down Penny Lane
Nick Clegg visited the recently completed Penny Lane Community Centre on his first appointment on the forthcoming general election campaign. This is the second visit for Nick who first visited pre-construction when the community centre was in a derelict state.
During his visit Nick met with Aaron Givens who completed his work experience with Gilling Dod Architects to congratulate him on his involvement in the project and the design of the ornate entrance gates which are now a focal point for the new Community centre.

Gilling Dod appoints a new Director
We are pleased to announce that Antony O’Toole has accepted an invitation to join the board as a Director of Gilling Dod Architects commencing on the 1st January 2010.
We are delighted that Antony has decided to join the Board and feel that it is a reflection of our continued success in what has been a difficult period in the industry.
Antony who has been with Gilling Dod Architects since 2007 will continue working with his current contacts with the aim of expanding our influence both locally and nationally across many of our key sectors including Private healthcare, Residential, Education and Commercial.
