Gilling Dod appoints a new Director

We are pleased to announce that Antony O’Toole has accepted an invitation to join the board as a Director of Gilling Dod Architects commencing on the 1st January 2010.

We are delighted that Antony has decided to join the Board and feel that it is a reflection of our continued success in what has been a difficult period in the industry.

Antony who has been with Gilling Dod Architects since 2007 will continue working with his current contacts with the aim of expanding our influence both locally and nationally across many of our key sectors including Private healthcare, Residential, Education and Commercial.

Macmillan Quality Environment Mark Award

Gilling Dod Architects are delighted to confirm that the Nightingale Centre has been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark following a recent assessment. This award recognises building and service excellence within health and social care and therefore indicates that we are achieving the very highest standards in cancer building excellence.

New build Rehabilitation Mental Health Unit

Gilling Dod Architects teamed up with Costain as PSCP on our latest Procure 21 project. The team has been appointed to deliver a new build Rehabilitation Mental Health Unit on the St Georges Hospital site, on behalf of The Lincoln Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Completion is due end of 20011/early 2010.

Redevelopment of West Cumberland Hospital

Gilling Dod has been appointed as Lead Consultant / Architect in association with John Cooper Architecture with Laing O'Rourke the selected Procure21 Team for the redevelopment of West Cumberland Hospital. The £65 Million build cost, overall £100 Million scheme which is now underway is due to be complete by Christmas 2012.
