Gilling Dod Architects has a wealth of experience in all forms of Masterplanning and Technical Advisor work. As planners we can be involved in schemes ranging from local area plans to specific site wide development control plans. Our masterplans respond to local conditions and promote a cohesive and sustainable environment for future generations.
As Technical and Design Advisors we assist in the evolution of design briefs and offer design and technical input and advice to clients on technical and design issues arising from procurement routes such as PFI and Design and Build. We are advisors to the HUB initiative which is producing health schemes for communities across Scotland and have acted as advisors on PFI and P21+ schemes in recent years.
We have worked with a number of NHS Hospital Trusts in developing masterplans for sites across the UK. These developments focus on the delivery of an efficient estate, from the critical elements of the patient journey to the effective management and servicing of the site wide infrastructure.
Our clients have access to a wealth of accumulated experience across our senior team, who have delivered successful outcomes for North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, Mersey Care NHS Trust, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
We seek to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of a project, the clinical strategy, the financial constraints, regulatory drivers and community perspectives, combining all these principles to create a long term sustainable strategy for our clients.
We also combine our architectural and masterplanning skills with our in house interior design team, to create guidelines for cohesive environments which help to improve patient outcomes and wellbeing. We can create BIM models for entire trust estates, helping our clients towards meeting central government’s objective of delivering all projects to BIM level 2 by 2016.
