Here at Gilling Dod, we appreciate the impact that interior spaces can have on the overall orientation of a building. This is why we provide a full Interior Design Service as either part of an architectural project, or as an independent commission.

Gilling Dod Interiors have undertaken projects in a variety of sectors, from the commercial and healthcare to local authorities. We have worked with clients as diverse as Liverpool City Council, Nottingham Healthcare Trust and the Halifax Plc, and have recently completed the spatial design as part of the new £10 million Brain Injury Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, Belfast.

As part of our service we will establish an initial brief with the client to ascertain the primary functional requirements that will influence the design. For example, when considering the spatial design and layout for a commercial environment will we consider factors such the mix of uses, quality, cost, and health and safety. When designing for the healthcare sector, the designs draws on aspects of environmental psychology, creating interior spaces that foster a sense of community, and a safe and secure environment.

We offer the complete 'interior design' package from initial conception through to onsite supervision, providing the client with developmental drawings to illustrate the general arrangement plans and elevations of proposed design.
