Our Credentials

William E Willink, founder of the Practice in 1882, was an enthusiastic supporter of Liverpool Architecture Society, and for a time served as it's president. His verve for architecture has always been an inspiration and we encourage the same attitude throughout the Practice today.

Over the years Gilling Dod have been actively involved with the Liverpool Architecture Society with former partners of the Practice taking up the position of President for five years in the 1950's and from 1976 to 1978. Charles Adnett has continued the tradition and is the current Secretary, and with good cause, Charles has received acclaim from his peers for the current guidance document for the design of Seclusion Suites in mental health units that he co-authored.

Gilling Dod is an RIBA Chartered Practice, we currently have 13 qualified architects. The Practice's Managing Director, Brian Clarke is a registered RIBA Client Design Adviser, one of only 82 in the country.

We actively encourage our staff to improve their knowledge and understanding of the profession. We have an established in-house developmental programme and we also subscribe to the Regional RIBA CPD Programme (Continuous Professional Development) to ensure that our qualified architects maintain their skills and expertise.
