Penny Lane Community Centre

Gilling Dod are delighted to have worked with The Penny Lane Development Trust to refurbish and re-develop No 70 Penny Lane a once derelict building adjoining the Dovedale Towers in Mossley Hill, Liverpool. Phase one of the project which saw the redevelopment of the community centre has now been completed on time and on budget.

It great news for the local community as the completed building is now available for use by the whole community, including local youth groups, artists wanting to hold exhibitions, and other community based organizations

Gilling Dod liaised closely with the client to obtain the lottery funding from the Government’s Community Assets Programme and the group have been working hard for the last 15 years to secure funding for the first phase of the project.

The brief for phase two is now under development which will include a second building to accommodate additional community services including flexible performance and recording facilities, café, shop and exhibition space as well as offices and sport and recreation facilities.
