Gilling Dod were commissioned to re-ordered the existing church and provided a new crèche, meeting rooms and lady chapel. The church was also extended to provide a social centre, refectory and kitchen, together with disabled facilities and administration offices. St Laurence's Church is the oldest building in Chorley tracing its history back to the 1400's.
