Gilling Dod Architects have been involved in designing and delivering accomplished Mental Health facilities for well over 30 years with over £300m of live/completed projects undertaken in the last 6 years alone.

With this level of experience comes a clear understanding of the issues involved in the sector and also a very real sense of the impact good design has on actual Mental Health recovery, treatment and wellbeing.

With successfully completed Projects across the full Mental Health spectrum from Rehab, Dementia and Learning Disabilities through to Adult Acute, CAMHS, and PICUs we have developed an enviable knowledge base in the field. Our portfolio also includes extensive work in Low, Medium and High Secure Mental Health settings and covers both Public and Private providers right across the UK including Northern Ireland.

Through our significant involvement in Procure 21, as well as our Partnering ethos, we have forged strong links with Providers, Commissioners and Constructors in the Mental Health Community nationwide. In some instances we have helped with the formulation of the latest MH Best Practice. We are members of the Design in Mental Health Network and actively support End User engagement initiatives such as the SEED Project in Lancashire.

All this keeps Gilling Dod at the forefront of Mental Health design and means we are able to constantly improve our rationale and approach and in doing so ensure we deliver truly accomplished Patient focussed facilities for our clients.
