Bryan Pullan

Director

Bryan Pullan joined Gilling Dod in 1990, became a Director in 2000, and has commercial and industrial experience, as well as being one of the established health care team.

With over twenty years health design experience under his belt, both via traditional and more recently, Procure 21 procurement routes, Bryan has also become a specialist in private health schemes, has produced a number of acute and mental health facilities around the country for private providers, and has considerable experience in delivering high spec, value for money schemes in a competitive environment.

Bryan also serves as the Financial Director for the Practice, and, supported by an Accounting Technician, is responsible for the commercial aspects of the business.

sean kember

Sean Kember

Director

Sean joined Gilling Dod in 1997, becoming an associate in 1999 and a Director in 2008. Sean has experience in the residential, commercial, high tech industrial (petrochemical industry), and healthcare sectors. Whilst with Gilling Dod, Sean has worked predominantly in the healthcare sector and has extensive experience with acute hospitals, mental health facilities (low and medium secure), brain injury units, palliative care facilities, doctors surgeries, community health facilities and primary care centres.

Sean has worked predominantly in the acute sector over the last eight years, focusing on the design and delivery of over ten Procure 21 projects with a total value in excess of £220m. Throughout that time Sean has developed close working relationships with a number of Trusts and PSCP’s and it is the development of those relationships through a strong collaborative ethic that has proved invaluable in completing all of these projects to the highest possible standard.

charles abnett

Charles Adnett

Director

Charles joined Gilling Dod in 1978 becoming a Director in 2000, his vast portfolio of experience spans a number of sectors including, healthcare, education, commercial, retail and residential. Most recently, Charles has been developing the practices portfolio of private healthcare clients as well as delivering a number of high profile acute and mental health healthcare projects throughout the country, utilising his knowledge of current, best practice healthcare design. Charles‘ experience in both the NHS and Private sector is coupled with his knowledge of working via many of the procurement routes including traditional, design and build, PFI and Procure 21.

Over the years Gilling Dod have been actively involved with the Liverpool Architecture Society with former partners of the Practice taking up the position of President for five years in the 1950's and from 1976 to 1978. Charles continued the tradition and was the Secretary from 2005 – 2008. Charles has received acclaim from his peers for his work on the current guidance document for the design of seclusion suites in mental health units which he co-authored. Charles was also the Director in charge during the practice’s involvement with one of the successful PSCP’s in the pilot area of the Procure 21 NHS framework when it was launched in 2005.

Andrew Arnold

Andrew Arnold

Director

Andrew has been with Gilling Dod Architects since 1998 and is a Graduate of Manchester School of Architecture. Andrews’s promotion through the practice saw him make Associate in 2002 and eventually a Director in 2008.
 
Despite a successful career in the Education and Commercial Sectors it is in Healthcare Design where Andrew’s key experience lies with a string of high profile projects in his portfolio.  More recently it is in the field of Mental Health Design where Andrew has excelled with successful projects completed in both Forensic and Community fields.  Andrew has been in charge of some of the Practice’s recent flagship Mental Health Schemes at Rampton, Guild Lodge and Belfast.  His experience has meant an extensive exposure to our Procure 21 work in recent years, working with three major PSCPs on schemes right across the Country.  An in depth knowledge of the subject matter, an innovative design approach and passion for the subject matter, has seen Andrew play a prominent role in Procure 21+ and has also meant numerous speaking engagements at Mental Health and NHS Design forums.  This experience has also seen Andrew build long standing relationships with numerous Trusts, Commissioners and Mental Health Providers, manifesting itself through repeat commissions ranging from high level master planning to detailed delivery on site.

Sarah DeLucia

Business Development Manager

Sarah joined Gilling Dod Architects in 2008 and is responsible for the business development and marketing of the practice. Working closely with the Directors Sarah leads and implements the marketing strategy and initiatives to drive continued growth in all key areas of the business.

Prior to Gilling Dod Sarah spent many years working as a Sales Manager, her role included devising and implementing sales and marketing, customer acquisition and retention strategies for various SMEs and blue chip clients.
